Scan2Docx Document Scanner is a very fast, portable document scanner to scan letter documents, books and magazines. The system consists of a foldable document scanner and a software application. It can be clicked into a number of positions: letter position, zoom position 1 and 2, whiteboard position and transport position. Weighing less than 1 kg, Scan2Docx Document Scanner can be easily transported and is suited for use in the workplace, at school or at home.
Scan2Docx Document Scanner is fitted with a high resolution 5 megapixel (2592 x 1944 pixel) USB 2.0 camera, which outputs a live video stream at 6 frames per second. This allows documents to be easily positioned under the scanner. Scan2Docx Document Scanner's resolution is approx. 220 dpi in the letter position, 400 dpi in zoom position 1 and 1,200 dpi in zoom position 2.
An entire letter can be scanned in less than 1 second at a resolution of 220 dpi. This is a very powerful feature to quickly scan, for example, entire books, magazines and batches of documents. Scanned images are converted to text using ABBYY® FineReader OCR software. A foot switch is available as an optional accessory, which enables Scan2Docx Document Scanner to be operated hands-free.
The software, which ships with Scan2Docx Document Scanner is easy and intuitive to use. It offers all necessary functions to scan, archive, copy, fax and print documents. Multi-page documents can be saved as PDF and opened with Adobe Reader®. Single scans can be saved as JPG, TIFF, PNG and BMP. Scanned documents are listed under one another in the left pane of the software application and can be moved using drag and drop.
To ensure the highest possible image quality, Scan2Docx Document Scanner is fitted with an auto-focus module. This ensures that the object being scanned is always exactly in focus, regardless of the currently set zoom position.
